Turn up the glam: A moody, modern wedding in Sarnia

It didn’t take long after meeting on Tinder in 2023 for Ryan and Sebastian to realize they had found something special. The Toronto-based couple got engaged at sunset in the hills of Tuscany, Italy – a movie-worthy moment that set the tone for their October 2025 wedding in Sarnia, Ont. Glamourous, moody and ultra-modern, their two-day celebration brought together 200 loved ones for an immersive experience complete with a pre-wedding welcome party, speakeasy-style spaces and dramatic candlelight that filled the venue with warmth, creating an atmosphere that felt both deeply intimate and undeniably cinematic.

Feel the love: 

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was having Sebastian’s best friend, Annie, officiate the ceremony. “It made the experience feel incredibly intimate and personal,” said Ryan, noting that many guests commented on how much love they could feel in the room. “There was a strong emphasis not just on how the space looked but how it felt.” 

Yummm! 

Bucking the traditional plated dessert course, Ryan and Sebastian opted for a lavish display of mini desserts – including macaron towers, buttercream cakes, cake pops, crème brûlée and profiteroles – that guests could graze on throughout the evening. Late-night smash burgers and truffle fries followed, bringing a fun and indulgent close to the celebration.

Love in bloom: 

Florals played a central role in bringing the couple’s vision to life. Featuring a mix of hydrangea, roses, calla lilies, tulips and amaranthus, the arrangements emphasized texture, movement and layered depth, with rich tones chosen to complement the dramatic architecture of the space.
